Our Story
Every Place Begins with an Idea.
Shanti Nivas did not begin with a house.
Not with architectural plans.
Not with the idea of renting out holiday homes.
It began with one simple question:
What would a place look like where people could truly find peace?
In the heart of Bukidnon’s rainforest, we found the answer. Surrounded by ancient trees, a private waterfall, and nature that has preserved its original beauty, the vision of Shanti Nivas was born.

More Than a Destination
We didn’t want to create a place where people simply spend the night.
We wanted to create a place where life slows down.
Where the sound of the waterfall replaces your morning alarm.
Where conversations are never rushed.
Where nature is not just a backdrop but part of everyday life.
Shanti Nivas is meant to be a place where people come to breathe deeply, recharge, and take home memories that last a lifetime.
Our Responsibility for the Rainforest

Not every tree that has been lost can be replaced tomorrow.
But every tree we plant today helps shape the future.
When we first discovered this property, we saw more than its natural beauty.
We also saw its history.
Where open land stretches today, rainforest once stood.
Part of it disappeared over the years.
Today, we are helping the rainforest return—one native tree at a time.
Our Vision
We don’t just want to create a place where people can unwind.
We also want to give something back to nature.
That’s why, over the coming years, Shanti Nivas will not only grow—it will become greener.
Our goal is to gradually reforest the open areas of the property with native tree species, creating new habitats for plants and wildlife.
Every tree is a small contribution.
Many small contributions can grow into an entire forest.
Step by Step
Shanti Nivas wasn’t built overnight.
Every building, every pathway, and every idea has taken shape step by step—with the support of local people, patience, and a shared vision of creating something that will last.
We believe that the best things take time.
That’s why Shanti Nivas continues to grow—thoughtfully, sustainably, and in harmony with nature.
Our Responsibility
The nature surrounding Shanti Nivas is a gift.
That is why we are committed to treating it with respect.
Just as important to us are the people who live here and help bring this project to life.
Our goal is to create long-term employment opportunities, work closely with local craftsmen and businesses, and—as the project continues to grow—also provide career opportunities for people with mild disabilities.
For us, hospitality means more than simply welcoming our guests.
It also means taking responsibility for the place where we are privileged to live and work.

Why “Shanti Nivas”?
The name comes from Sanskrit.
Shanti means peace, inner calm, and serenity.
Nivas means home or a place to live.
Together, Shanti Nivas represents a place where people can arrive, slow down, and find renewed energy.
That is exactly the experience we hope to offer every guest.
The Journey Has Only Just Begun.
Shanti Nivas is not a finished project.
It continues to grow with every new idea, every tree we plant, and every person who visits this special place.
We look forward to sharing this journey with our guests.
Welcome to Shanti Nivas.
