Welcome to Shanti Nivas
A nature based eco retreat with a private waterfall in the Philippines

About Shanti Nivas
Bukidnon lies in the heart of the island of Mindanao and is a region that touches the soul with its vastness, fresh mountain air, and lush nature. Gentle hills, green plateaus, and a wide open sky shape the landscape. It is quieter here than along the coasts, the climate is pleasantly mild, and nature reveals itself in countless shades of green. In the mornings, mist drifts across the fields, and in the evenings, the setting sun bathes the mountains in warm colors.
In the midst of this special environment lies our property with the holiday home Shanti Nivas. The name comes from Sanskrit and means “place of peace” – and that is exactly what this place is meant to be. A place to arrive, to breathe deeply, and to let go of everyday life.
Shanti Nivas is surrounded by nature and open space. Here you can hear the wind in the trees, the sound of the waterfall, the birds singing, and occasionally the distant calls of animals. Your gaze wanders across the land, and you quickly feel a sense of calm settling in. It is a place where time seems to move more slowly.
Our property offers space for relaxation, for silence, and for simple, genuine moments. Whether welcoming the day with a cup of coffee in the morning, exploring nature during the day, or gazing at the star-filled sky in the evening, Shanti Nivas invites you to live mindfully and enjoy the present moment.
Bukidnon and Shanti Nivas stand for naturalness, serenity, and a deep connection to the surrounding environment. It is a place that does not need to be loud to leave an impression. A place that gives strength – and one you will always be happy to return to.

Vision & Inclusion
Our vision for Shanti Nivas is simple yet deeply rooted: we want to create a place where nature, people, and well-being exist in harmony. The focus is not on financial profit, but on responsibility — toward the environment, the local community, and the guests who visit this place.
Step by step, our land is meant to return to nature. We aim to preserve and encourage natural, original landscapes, respect natural cycles, and intervene in the environment as little as possible. Shanti Nivas is not intended to be an artificially created retreat, but a place that grows out of nature and lives in balance with it.
A central part of our vision is the social aspect. We deliberately employ people with disabilities as well as individuals from socially disadvantaged groups. We want to offer fair working conditions, appreciation, and genuine inclusion. Work here should not only provide income, but also meaning, dignity, and a sense of community.
At Shanti Nivas, wealth is not measured in money. Our understanding of prosperity lies in healthy nature, respectful relationships, and the inner peace of our guests. We wish to offer a place where people can slow down, regain strength, and reconnect with what truly matters.
In the long term, Shanti Nivas is envisioned as a kind of non-profit project. Any surplus income will not be accumulated privately, but reinvested in meaningful initiatives — whether in acquiring and restoring additional land or in supporting the nearby village and its community.
Our vision is a living process. Shanti Nivas is meant to grow, learn, and evolve — in harmony with nature, guided by humanity, and shaped by the belief that true well-being arises when we take responsibility for one another and for our environment.
